VISTAPRINT X 99DESIGNS CASE STUDY

As an ongoing partnership with Vistaprint, we worked with them again on another campaign to share and promote Vistaprint’s acquisition of 99designs, a graphic design service that designs logos, book covers, packaging, website and a whole breadth of other products.

THE CHALLENGE

To promote the contest function from the 99designs graphic design service, working with macro influencers and small business owners (SBOs).

THE OBJECTIVE

To share the 99designs journey in four different phases across Instagram stories, an Instagram post and an integrated YouTube video.

THE CAMPAIGN

We worked with Laila Washington and Emma Tamsin-Hill who both designed new logos for their social platforms for our #99designed campaign. They used tracked UTM links to their landing pages to their contest on the 99designs website, in which their followers voted for their favourites to help them choose their winning design.

Laila worked on a YouTube banner design based around natural hair, lifestyle and beauty, whilst Emma worked on a new logo for her podcast series “The S Word Podcast”.

THE RESULTS

Over a series of Instagram stories, posts and YouTube videos, both the influencers generated 1.3M impressions with 651,305 views and 20,709 engagement actions. Averaging an incredible 38.7% engagement rate!

With their audiences following their 99design journey over a period of 2/3 months and involving their followers to participate in designs polls etc. to help the influencers decide on their final design, this resulted in a total of 2,151 clicks to 99designs page.
